Summary of causes of condensation water

Condensate water, from the air conditioning indoor unit refrigeration process, when the surface temperature of the heat exchanger is lower than the dew point temperature of the indoor air, to promote the water vapor in the air in this cold condensation, the formation of liquid water. The condensate then flows out of the water collection pan under the evaporator and is discharged smoothly through the condensing pipe.

Theoretical reason: In the process of heat exchange and heat absorption with outdoor air, the surface temperature of the air conditioner is lower than the dew point temperature of outdoor air. At this time, the water vapor contained in the outdoor air will condense into dew on the wall of the surface cooler, and when the dew accumulates to a certain scale, it will slide to the condensate tray below the surface cooler, and eventually form condensate water.

Practical reasons:

Unreasonable design of the new exhaust system: Improper setting of the new exhaust system in the air conditioning area may lead to excessive negative pressure, making untreated outdoor air enter the room in disorder, increasing the air humidity and dew point temperature. When the surface temperature of the tuyere is lower than the dew point temperature of the air penetrating into the room, the tuyere condensation phenomenon will be caused.

Unqualified insulation materials: In air conditioning engineering, the selection and construction of insulation materials is crucial. If the thermal conductivity of the insulation material exceeds the standard, the thickness is insufficient, it falls off, or its performance does not meet the design requirements, it may lead to increased heat loss, decreased air conditioning effect, and serious condensation problems.

Large temperature difference air supply: In order to reduce costs, some air conditioning systems use low-temperature air supply technology to reduce the amount of air supply and fan power. However, too low air supply temperature is easy to make the water vapor in the air condense quickly near the air supply outlet, forming condensate.

High relative humidity: Poor air distribution or excessive humidification may cause the relative humidity of the air in the air conditioner tuyere area to increase, and the dew point temperature to rise, which is easy to generate condensation water.

Air conditioning end heat transfer process: When the air conditioning end cools and dehumidifies the indoor air, its wall temperature is lower than the indoor air dew point temperature, which promotes the water vapor in the air to condense into dew. When the dew accumulates to a certain extent, it will slide to the condensate tray below the end, forming condensate water.
